1. Overview

UpLayer is designed with privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the UpLayer Chrome extension.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

UpLayer does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • • Your files or file contents
  • • File metadata or information about files
  • • Personal identification information
  • • Browsing history or upload destinations
  • • Credentials or authentication tokens

3. Local Processing

All file transformations (resizing, compressing, redacting, converting) are performed locally on your device using your browser's capabilities. Your files never leave your computer.

4. Cloud Storage Integration

UpLayer accesses cloud storage services (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox) only to allow you to select files. Authentication is handled by the respective services. We do not store or access your cloud credentials.

5. No Tracking or Analytics

UpLayer does not use tracking pixels, cookies, analytics services, or any form of user behavior monitoring. We do not track how you use the extension.

6. Third-Party Services

UpLayer integrates with cloud storage providers (Google, Microsoft, Dropbox). When you connect these services, their privacy policies apply to that connection. UpLayer does not share data with these providers.

7. Updates and Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in UpLayer or applicable laws. Updated policies will be available at our website. Continued use of UpLayer indicates your acceptance of any changes.

8. Data Security

Since UpLayer does not store data, there is no data to compromise. All processing happens on your device using standard browser security measures.

9. Your Rights

You can uninstall UpLayer at any time. Uninstalling the extension immediately removes all UpLayer data from your system. No data about you is retained after uninstallation.

10. Contact
